Toulouse's new exhibition center is based on contemporary architecture and state-of-the-art equipment. Toulouse Évènements chose Axess to manage its visitors and exhibitors.

Just a few hundred meters from the runways of Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, the brand new exhibition and convention center opened its doors in September 2020. An ambitious project that brings together a total of 70,000 m² of event space, 7 exhibition halls, 5,000 parking spaces and 170 hectares of natural areas with a variety of plant and animal species. MEETT is designed to host trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences and congresses, as well as international cultural and sporting events. The site expects at least one million visitors and 80 events per year. MEETT's construction is based on an ecological approach and a minimal footprint. Equipped with a 3-hectare photovoltaic park that makes it possible to produce renewable energy and a geothermal power plant that supplies the buildings, the site stands out not only for its sober and clean architecture, but also for its state-of-the-art facilities – an exemplary jewel that points to the future. 

Following the construction of MEETT, Toulouse Évènements commissioned Axess to install a system for managing visitors and exhibitors throughout the site. Thanks to its extensive experience in the field of access control, Axess proposed an innovative solution that could best meet the hardware and software requirements of the new exhibition center. The solution manages ticket sales, exhibitor passes, access to visitor and exhibitor parking, and access control to the halls in an all-in-one system. In terms of hardware solutions, Axess installed 10 Axess SMART POS for ticket sales at the box office and 5 Axess TICKET KIOSK 600 for purchasing an event ticket or paying for a parking ticket without having to go to the box office. This avoids waiting times and relieves the staff at the cash desks. 

Toulouse Évènement opted for a mobile control system for all accesses to the different halls, a practical and flexible solution. Axess supplied 36 Axess HANDHELD for reading and checking tickets. Due to their light weight, these devices can be easily transported and comfortably used during the whole exhibition day. Several AX500 CAR AXESS NG were installed for visitor and exhibitor parking. The kiosks are equipped with Axess SMART SCANNER 600 modules for ticket reading. In addition, the three kiosks at the exit of the visitor parking lot have a payment option.
In the area of software solutions, Axess provided an innovative platform for online ticket sales. The Axess VISITOR PLATFORM enables both private individuals and trade visitors to buy their tickets online. Trade visitors and press representatives can register and apply for accreditations and passes themselves via VISITOR.SELFREGISTRATION. Axess EXHIBITOR PLATFORM enables easy management of exhibitor and parking passes as well as invitations for their visitors. As the status of vouchers and invitations is available at any time and in real time, exhibitors are always informed about the success of their campaigns. Thanks to an Axess control system that manages visitors and exhibitors via an innovative global solution, Toulouse Évènements has a first-class facility to welcome its visitors.
