Our solutions have ensured seamless access for athletes, VIPs, journalists, and other guests at the Austria House at the Winter Olympics 2026 in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.

Since the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Axess has proudly stood as the trusted partner of the Austrian Olympic Committee, ensuring seamless access for athletes, VIPs, journalists, and other special guests at the Austria House. This partnership goes beyond typical ticketing—it's a commitment to excellence and precision in every step of the accreditation and access management process. 

For the 2026 Winter Games, Austria House was strategically located in Cortina d’Ampezzo, at the heart of thrilling competitions like ski downhill, giant slalom, slalom, as well as bobsleigh, skeleton, and curling competitions. From 6th to 22nd February, a range of Axess Solutions were deployed at the Austria House, including intelligent software features to streamline every aspect of visitor management: Guests collected their ticket at the Axess SMART POS system, where the Axess SMART PRINTER 600 quickly issued barcode cards. For areas with limited space, such as emergency exits where gates could not be installed, Axess HANDHELD mobile devices allowed on-the-spot ticket inspections.  

For the ticket validation process, several units of our next-generation access control solution –the Axess SMART GATE 600– were installed. Each gate features the Axess SUITE READER 600, an advanced ticket scanner supporting barcode, NFC, and RFID ticket technologies and optionally a camera for facial recognition. Thanks to the reader’s adjustable rotation and tilt, visitors enjoyed a comfortable and intuitive access experience. The gate’s sleek design blended seamlessly into the venue, while its modular construction allowed the system to be tailored to the event through a mobile setup featuring the elegant FLAP 600 Glass barrier module.
