Circoloco, one of the most famous underground electronic music events, returned to Madrid on 7 February at IFEMA, a renowned international trade fair and convention center in Spain. For the event, we delivered access solutions designed to provide the estimated 17,000 attendees with smooth, secure access and exceptional experience.

Founded in 1999 at the DC10 nightclub in Ibiza, Circoloco has become one of the world’s most iconic electronic party brands. Known for its distinctive underground atmosphere and red lights, it has grown into a global movement within the house and techno scene, hosting events in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Milan, and Mumbai. A new edition was recently held in Madrid, for which Axess Solutions were selected to manage access control.

Through our rental program, we installed six AX500 Smart Gate NG – Mobile Pallet and WIFI units equipped with the Axess TURNSTILE 600 Asymmetric for efficient crowd flow. In addition to reading barcode tickets, the integrated Axess SMART SCANNER 600 NFC can validate RFID/NFC tickets, ideal solution for an event where attendees accessed the venue using RFID wristbands. Moreover, its proximity sensors on both sides of the housing detect the direction of passage, offering bidirectional access with a single system.

Thanks to their mobile pallets, combined with their long-lasting battery packs and WIFI modules, these gates offered wireless online operation and complete flexibility in positioning. These features allowed the gates to be deployed for the event and quickly removed afterward, maximizing space and facilitating emergency exit.
