Our latest access control solution for ski resorts went from concept and design to production and final installation in under a year, showcasing our commitment to innovation, teamwork, and efficiency. The brand-new Axess ALPHA GATE 700 was built as Gold Edition for Ski Arlberg, Austria, and nearly 90 units were installed across Lech Zürs and Warth in record time.

Redefining what’s possible 

At the NSAA Mountain Tech Symposium 2024, Oliver Suter, CEO Designa Axess Industries Holding, found himself facing access systems that seemed frozen in time: mechanical, intimidating, and overloaded with visible parts. Functional, but not welcoming.

“Why should something as simple as ski access feel cold, industrial…and even a bit unfriendly?” – wondered Oliver Suter. This question sparked the idea which became our brand-new Axess ALPHA GATE 700, designed to transform the ski access experience.

Together with our outstanding hardware development team and our external designer, we started a journey that seemed out of reach to many — but we believed in it: From first concept to first full installation in under 12 months.

The Axess ALPHA GATE 700 sets new standards not only technically but also visually:

World premiere at Ski Arlberg:  Nearly 90 brand-new Axess ALPHA GATE 700 installed in record time

The very first ALPHA GATES 700 were built in our production facility in Innsbruck, Austria. Crafted with precision and passion, these inaugural units were produced as Gold Edition for Ski Arlberg, Austria. 

During the last weekend of November, our outstanding team installed nearly 90 Axess ALPHA GATE 700 across Lech Zürs and Warth in record time. Thanks to our amazing team that made it possible under true alpine conditions – snow up to the knees, icy winds, bright sunshine, and pure mountain energy. 

With their elegant white-and-gold finish, these gates blend seamlessly into the alpine landscape and the unique atmosphere of the ski resorts while elevating the entire guest experience. It is proof that access control can be fast, intuitive, and beautiful — without compromising performance.
