Update for New Zealand's prestigious national stadium
New Zealand’s heritage-rich national stadium on the path to a digital future.
For more than 100 years, Eden Park has been home to Auckland Cricket and Auckland Rugby. A history filled with memorable sporting moments. Eden Park has hosted successful events since 1903, including the 1950 Empire Games, the opening ceremony of the 2017 World Masters Game, the Lions Series, and the annual Bledisloe Cup matches - and the list goes on.
“We are delighted to partner with Axess – a leading international manufacturer of ticketing and access management systems,” says Eden Park Chief Executive Officer Nick Sautner.
Axess' complete solutions will provide Eden Park visitors with easier and faster access to the stadium in the future. At the Stadium we installed 40 AX500 Smart Gate NG, 20 AX500 Smart Gate NG Mobile, 17 Axess SMART POST 600 and 70 Axess HANDHELDs. With a focus on speed and security, each ticket will be checked within 0.1 seconds, and the gate will then be opened. The efficiency of the Axess systems in already equipped stadiums allows 81,000 people to be given access within 2 hours. At the same time, automated processes reduce the workload of staff on match day. Axess systems are open to new technologies, easily integrated and incorporate emerging trends in product development. Because of the technology open Design, we are able to process the ticket data of the ticket providers Ticketmaster, Ticketek and Flicket.
Axess is delighted to begin a long-term collaboration with Eden Park, and to digitalize the access to the stadium.
