Access and ticketing from one single source

AXESS is implementing one of its largest ever software projects: the development of a special software package for Jungfrau Railways, allowing ski resort operators to manage all business areas from one single source in the future.

The largest mountain-experience provider in Switzerland, with a turnover of more than 150 million euros per year, has chosen AXESS for the entire complex access and ticketing management for 900,000 visitors to the Jungfraujoch every year and about the same number of visitors to the adjacent ski region.

Urs Kessler, CEO of Jungfraubahn Holding AG, commented on the collaboration with AXESS that: "In order to support the implementation of our groundbreaking projects such as the V-Cableway, we need suppliers and partners who, like ourselves, are flexible, innovative and very customer-focused. For getting the best solution to the challenges we face in terms of access, we have teamed up with AXESS for the coming years."

The number of ultra-modern ticketing and access control systems implemented by AXESS outside Europe has tripled over the past 3 years. Particular success in finding new clients has been seen in Japan, the Americas, China and especially Russia. For example, Axess was able to prove at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi that quality from Austria can be relied upon.

In this respect, Oliver Suter the Chief Sales Officer remarks that: "A considerable part of our team, has been focusing on the development of new markets outside Europe for years now. I am very happy that we have been able to harvest some of the fruits of these ongoing efforts. What remains important however is our striving for 100%-satisfied, long-term customers from these new projects."
