There’s usually always something bigger, but not in this case. The L+SNOW Indoor Ski Theme Resort in Shanghai, the largest of its kind, opened its doors in September 2024. Axess China was the perfect partner for this ambitious project, supplying hardware and software solutions.

A Winter Wonderland Full of Innovations & Records

It was a construction project of superlatives. Covering over 90,000 square meters, the L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort now officially holds the Guiness World Record as the largest indoor ski complex in the world. And it's full of winter sports highlights. The facility has a vertical drop of nearly 60 meters and ski slopes with a total length of around 1,200 meters for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers. Additionally, the resort features China's first 3D S-shaped snow slope and over 20 snow-based entertainment activities, including the country's first indoor “snow train” that takes visitors around the snowy landscape.

High-Tech Ticketing and Access Solutions

The sheer scale of the project required a comprehensive solution for ticketing, admissions, and other business operations that only Axess could provide. In addition to the 50 installed smart gates, ticket vending machines, and over 60 Smart POS, Axess provided the entire ticketing system software on-site. Rental options, VIP access and course management were also set up for an urban population with a growing interest in skiing.

From Slopes to Splashes: Fun for Every Season

Surprisingly, the ski hall is not the only entertainment complex on the property. The site also includes a 20,000 square meters water park. With 26 slides, two of which extend over several levels, the water park is worth a visit in its own right. As with the ski hall, the water park was also equipped by Axess.
