The ski hall is designed for enormous capacity: The snow area alone covers 54,000 square meters; together with the adjacent ski resort, the facility spans 91,000 square meters. In total, five slopes with lengths of up to 280 meters and inclines of up to 16% were installed. Additionally, there are eight ski-sports experiences, 14 snow activities, ski schools, and an international restaurant featuring classic alpine dishes, aiming to meet the needs of guests with various skill levels and motivations.
Nothing was left to chance in this project. The client, Fosun, owner of Club Med Resorts among others, engaged both Axess and Europe's largest ski resort operator (Compagnie des Alpes). "It is not easy to develop a masterpiece in five years, but like everyone else, we firmly believe that the Chinese people’s desire for a better life is becoming stronger [...] We are committed to bringing high-quality services with unique experiences," said Guo Guangchang, the chairman of Fosun International.
For Fosun, Axess was the first choice for realizing many customized solutions in the hall. Axess's leading role in access systems and experience with past indoor ski projects convinced Guangchang and his company of Axess capabilities. In addition to the customized solutions, the on-site team's performance was also crucial: In the weeks leading up to the grand opening, Axess China worked daily into the night to make a big spectacle including live
performances happen. Further adaptations for 2024 are already planned, such as smartphone data analysis or a data dashboard.
