The bath with the imperial roots was first mentioned in a document in 1838 as a swimming pond of the little emperor Franz Josef. Around the turn of the century, an imperial swimming school was built there for the soldiers, which was used by British soldiers during the occupation for their recreation. In 1955 the bath was opened to the public.
After another intensive renovation, the bath was reopened in 2001 thanks to a private investor. Since then the Schönbrunnerbad has been a great success and is one of the most beautiful and modern open-air baths in Austria, in the midst of a world-famous cultural heritage. With the possibility of ticket sales via the Internet, the operators have succeeded in taking a leap into a promising future. Especially in times of the Corona Pandemic, many guests are very keen to purchase tickets from home via the Internet. Season ticket holders in particular can recharge existing tickets and enjoy carefree days in the swimming pool.
Josef Ebenbichler, managing director of the swimming pool is enthusiastic about the cooperation with Axess. "Axess has been a reliable partner since the reopening and with its high-end components and know-how it always provides solutions to be always at the cutting edge of technology and to give the entrepreneur tools for optimized guest control".
