This Norwegian Mecca for Nordic and alpine ski sport lies north of Oslo and is surrounded by some of the country’s best ski resorts. With Hafjell and Kvitfjell (owned by Alpinco), two of these ski resorts have now decided to install the latest Axess access management equipment.

Axess, the Salzburg-based access specialist, was commissioned by the Norwegian Alpinco AS company to provide the entire access management solution for the Hafjell and Kvitfjell ski resorts near Lillehammer. Both ski resorts are to be equipped with a total of seven Axess SMART POS, eight AX500 TVMs and 46 Axess Smart Gate NGs with floor and gantry-mounted flap separation. The skiing region of Hafjell, one of the venues of the Lillehammer Winter Olympics in 1994 and the 2017 X Games, can be reached by train from Oslo, crossing Norway’s wintry postcard panorama, in just two hours. 18 lifts and gondolas, 44 kilometers of fantastic ski runs and a whole 350 kilometers of twin-lane trails for cross-country skiers The longest ski run in Hafjell is a whole 5 km long. An indoor playground, a leisure park and a childcare facility complete Norway’s third largest ski resort as an ideal place for family fun with guaranteed snow. During summer time, Hafjell Bike Park has one of Europe's best downhill bicycle trails, along with endless possibilities for mountain bike hiking in the mountains. Kvitfjell – alpine speed competition venue
Kvitfjell is bound to be familiar to fans of the alpine skiing world cup – the men's downhill and super-G speed competitions take place here every year. Kvitfjell was already the venue for the speed competitions for the 1994 Winter Olympics. With its 12 lifts and gondolas, the ski resort was extended on the west side after the Winter Olympics with further ski runs which are especially attuned to the needs of families. This means that today, there is something for absolutely every kind of skier amongst the 35 ski slopes. In 2017, Kvitfjell will open its third mountain side in Kvitfjell Varden, making the resort a "Mini-Alps" for the passionate skier. With the Axess CONNECT.APP it will be really simple in future for ski guests in Kvitfjell to find the desired ski slope on their smartphone.

“With Hafjell and Kvitfjell near Lillehammer, we were not only able to further extend our market in Scandinavia but were above all able to convince two attractive names from Norway’s Olympic history with our smart complete solution.
